1. Should I size up or down when selecting a shoe size? Do you make half sizes?
Res Ipsa shoes run true to size. We only make whole sizes, so if you wear a half size, we recommend that you size down to ensure a snug fit around the heel and to avoid slippage. The wool upper will stretch just a bit to provide a customized fit. (Example: A person who wears a 9 1/2 should buy a size 9 shoe.)
2. How much do you charge for shipping?
Standard shipping (estimated 2-5 days) within the United States is free for orders $225 and over. We only charge for shipping within the United States on orders less than $225 or orders requesting expedited shipping. Shipping outside the United States can be done for an additional fee. Please know UPS Ground shipping is estimated, not guaranteed (estimated 2 days).
3. What shipping methods do you offer?
We ship via FedEx, UPS, DHL and United States Postal Service. We use tracking numbers for all packages. We will ship your order for free using the least-cost method. If you require faster delivery, we can accommodate you but we will have to charge for expedited shipping.
4. I see pair of shoes I really like but the website indicates they are out of stock. Can I get a pair just like them?
Unfortunately, it is impossible to create another pair of shoes identical to an already-sold pair. Each pair is one-of-a-kind and cannot be precisely recreated. However, some shoes made from the same fabrics may resemble those from that fabric. Some patterns are recurring, so check our website for similar new products. 5. What is your return policy?
If you have received the correct order and are unsatisfied with the item's fit, we’re happy to exchange it for a different size from our current stock at any time. Items must be in original condition, unworn, unwashed, and undamaged, with tags still attached (if applicable). All items are exchangeable for store credit only. The customer is responsible for shipping the item back to our warehouse, and the customer will incur the shipping cost. Once we receive the item, you will be given a store credit of the same price as the returned item. Store credits are valid for up to one year from the date they were issued.
All items for return or exchange should be sent to Res Ipsa, Attention: Returns, 1015A Collier Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30318. Please include the order number, if known. You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper; however, in most cases, you will receive the refund more quickly.
If you want to exchange your product, please include a note with the product you would like. Unfortunately, we cannot hold a product while we wait to receive your exchange, so you want to identify a backup item, too.
6. Do you offer repairs on the leather soles of your dress loafers?
Please know we do not offer resole work on our dress loafers. Let us hear from you info@resipsausa.com, and we can help recommend a service we use that specializes in resole/repair work. Any good cobbler should be equipped to resole our leather soles and allow you to keep your dress loafers for lifetime use.
Please know our shoes do not have a lifetime warranty and are not designed for heavy use. They are dress loafers. We make quality products meant to last and do our best to ensure our customers experience products that are made well.
7. Do you make anything in Small, XL, or XXL?
Our standard sizing on all clothing items fits unisex M or L. Please know we do not stock XL or XXL in our products. However, we can custom-make you almost any style you are interested in for an additional $100 per item. Please email us for customer order inquiries: info@resipsausa.com.
8. Do you do an exchange for custom orders?
Please know we cannot do any exchanges on Res Ipsa custom orders. All custom sales are final. Please know you must pay in full upfront. The process takes from 4-6 weeks, depending on the style. Please email us for customer order inquiries: info@resipsausa.com.
