New York, New York — We founded Res Ipsa believing that retail is not dead. We are proud to share the exciting news that we just opened our doors to our customers in New York.
Almost a decade later, we find ourselves back where we began. Part of our origin story with our first product began right here in the city. Originally, we set out to become a neckwear brand, and we blamed Seinfeld (sort of) for inspiration to create the perfect ties at the Goldilocks width--3 inches wide. We handmade our ties in New York using the same tie maker who made Ralph Lauren's first tie in 1967.
Since 2013, we have traveled all over the world for inspiration. We have created hundreds if not thousands of one-of-a-kind, handmade products in Marrakech, Istanbul, and right here in the US. We have opened 9 retail locations: Aspen and Aspen Home, Larchmont Village, Los Angeles, Malibu, Marrakech, Nantucket, New York City, and Vail.
Res Ipsa New York City opened on March 1, 2023. Our store is located at 259 Elizabeth St., New York, NY 10012.
Our store is a testament to Paulo Coelho's quote in the Alchemist, "When you want something, all the universe conspires to help you achieve it."
