Background: The Silver Dollar City is an amusement park that opened in the 1960s in the Ozarks. Guests were given silver dollars in change which led to a major promotional idea and word-of-mouth marketing campaign for the campgrounds. The park is 1880s-themed and has grown to be an international tourist attraction and the most traveled attraction in the state of MO. 

The park helped highlight the Ozark community on the map—opening the door decades later for the fan favorite Netflix series.
