Aso-Oke Kimono Jacket #5

$425.00

Aso-Oke (pronounced: ah-SHAW-okay") is a traditional hand-woven cloth created by the Yoruba people of West Africa. Garments made from this fabric are generally worn for special occasions, befitting to Aso-Oke's English translation: "Top Cloth"; denoting the cloth of high status. The Kimono design of this piece is a nice finishing touch paying tribute to both West African & Japanese culture. Read on our blog to learn a brief history of Aso-Oke in West Africa and why this is a high status, luxury fabric.
