Aso-Oke (pronounced: ah-SHAW-okay") is a traditional hand-woven cloth created by the Yoruba people of West Africa. Garments made from this fabric are generally worn for special occasions, befitting to Aso-Oke's English translation: "Top Cloth"; denoting the cloth of high status. The Kimono design of this piece is a nice finishing touch paying tribute to both West African & Japanese culture.
