In search of some helpful, quick tips to ease the upcoming month of holiday travels? It doesn't matter where you're going next - Bora Bora or Boston - the Holidays are right around the corner which means it's time to pack your bags and hit the road. It shouldn't come as a surprise how stressful it can be to start your packing last minute, so we've got 5 helpful tips to help streamline your packing process. Enjoy your holiday travels and please feel free to share these tips with your family and friends!
We've found that when packing for only short trip (3-5 days), it's simplest to choose your shoes and pack them first. Since shoes typically take up most of the space in your suitcase, you can save room by only packing those shoes that you'll definitely wear with several outfits over many days. Our men's and women's kilim loafers and chukka boots are extremely versatile and also seasonally appropriate. We suggest you pack them in a cloth bag (like the cloth bag that comes with our shoes) to keep your other belongings from getting dirty. Whether you're enjoying a nice dinner around the dining room table with friends or fancy feasting out on the town (or at the waffle house), your shoes will always be the most important piece of your wardrobe. Be smart and stylish and save space in your suitcase!
There's a 100% chance you'll spend at least one afternoon (or two or three) on the couch watching Netflix with your family and friends while your food baby calms down from the insane amount of food you just inhaled. If the Holidays are good for anything, it's a lot of good food and the "lazy day" outfit that nobody except your mother needs to see you sporting. Save the Holiday Instagram pic for another day....
First, buy a better dopp kit (A kilim Dopp kit, in this instance). Second, buy two of everything right now. You should leave one set of everything at home in your bathroom and put one set of everything in your Dopp kit so you never have to pack a Dopp kit. Gum, toothpaste, toothbrush, mouthwash, etc. Say goodbye to bad breath and forgetting something when you arrive. You'll thank us later. So will others.
There's nothing worse than packing and pretending you'll need something that you'll definitely, 100%, for certain never use. It's time to ditch that "Just in case" attitude. Don't catch yourself saying it 14 times before you finally zip up your bags that no longer zip!!
Wouldn't you rather give a gift electronically than haul the thing half way across the country?? It's kind of the move these days. There's nothing better than giving the gift of Res Ipsa. You can buy our gift cards now on our website!
